Human: Name: Myra Age: 18 Turns Gender: Female Sexual Preferences: Heterosexual Rank: Candidate Appearance: Myra would be the first to admit she isn't the prettiest girl in the weyr, having flat, straight dark brown hair that would be black if it were not for the shimmer of a chestnutty-brown, and a face that, although smooth and pale, is simply plain. Neutral gray eyes peak out from her face, as well as straight nose, high-cheek bones and thin lips. She isn't one for showing emotions, least of all with facial expressions, and can be seen as cold if you just take a look at her. She is of an average, if somewhat tall height, and is very skinny, not a particularly curvy girl.
Personality: The trait that most stands out with Myra is her ability to remain neutral in almost any situation. She is unbiased and uses strong logic when bringing up arguments, carefully supporting both until, or unless, she feels one in undeniably more then the other. This makes her an excellent negotiater and diplomat, as she doesn't listen to emotion or 'heart', nor does she take many matters passionately. She is also a brilliant secret keeper, for you know she will not tell no matter how bad it is- Unless it threatens a life, of course. Under all her calm and flat emotion she is actually very caring and does feel for people. She is a dependable, reliable person who keeps good track of time and place and makes herself on-time if nothing else.
She is always a very calm and serene girl, one whom always tries to face difficult situations with a level-head and clear mind. She is a very focused person, not one for losing her concentration when the time is important. But all people have bad points, and Myra's certainly stand out, because firstly, she doesn't listen to heart or instinct, which sometimes /is/ the best decision. She simply prefers clear, well-defined answers, even if it means denying everything her gut instinct tells her. She also appears to lack passion with her emotions, which is certainly true, for she prefers to appear calm at all times, even if only for the sake of others.
If someone should go agaisnt her general moral code, she'll almost instantly lose respect for them. Respect is something she gives willingly but will take away as soon as a severe wrong is done. She can seem harsh and unforgiving to people suffering the bad side of her, but in reality it is simply that she will never stray from her ethics, and will defend them no matter the cost.
History: Myra was born and raised in a very large Weyr, though she was fostered from a young age and doesn't really know much of them. She is aware of smaller things- Her mother, for instance, was a cavern worker, though she died before they really got to know eachother, and her father was a blue-rider and quite a careless man, though the few times they did spend time together he seemed a funny, friendly sort of type. But, she definately took the nurture nature point well, for she turned out just like her foster-mother, her first hopes being of the Headwoman, but soon turned to candiacy after she impressed a fire-lizard.
At first it was pretty hard, for her Weyr was a mildly sexist one and only a few girls were allowed to stand. They decided that, since she /was/ a fairly strong girl, and didn't seem flighty or emotional, she should be allowed. However, with no clutch on the sands, and the increase of candidates, it was also decided that she should probably leave the Weyr, for in others weyrs she might have a greater chance of being allowed to stand. And so, she ended up going to Altheaweyr.

He can be a bit loud and annoying, fond of chattering and creeling even to humans who can't possibly understand, but he is typically friendly enough when it suits him.
